As Interim Co-Director of the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre’s Reconciliation Initiative: Every One Every Day, I coached Tammy Mudge into to the Co-Director Strategy position, promoted Jayme-Lynn Gloade to the Manager of Neighborhood Projects and recruited Killa Atencio to replace me as Co-Director Operations. The project is now entirely Mi’kmaw women led. We successfully secured over one million in funds from the Walmart Foundation in partnership with Dalhousie University’s Department of Planning and $75,000 to purchase an electric truck to support the Build Trailer and neighbourhood infrastructure development.
